Sources & change history

How EDEN shows where a value came from and what was changed.

EDEN aims to make results checkable: you should be able to see what was done to your data and, where possible, where each value came from.

Change history (DataPrep and Financial analysis)

Each cleaning step is recorded with its name, a description, the number of rows and columns before and after, the columns it touched and a timestamp. You can read it in the Audit trail tab and download it as JSON.

Source references (Credit View)

Every value the Document Extractor returns keeps the document name, the page and page type, the original text and an extraction confidence. Mismatches show these for each side, so you can open both sources.

What is not recorded

Market intelligence keeps the figure, its unit, period and confidence, but not the page it came from.

What this does not do

  • Change history describes the steps the product applied; it is not a substitute for your own review of the output.
